Disney’s Contemporary Resort will transform one of it’s ballroom’s for the holiday season. It will become a festive winter wonderland with options that include a traditional dinner, desserts and you could even add on a character meet for your group.
On Sunday, January 20th I dropped into Epcot’s Canada Pavilion to see what the Limited Time Magic: Winter Wonderland was about first hand. I got in line at 1:47 and the characters were about to take their quick quackers and nuts break, so I waited a total of 18 minutes to meet them. When you zoom in on the characters with your camera, it was a cute little meet and greet area. When they first announced “Winter Wonderland” in the Canada pavilion, I thought they would have snow machines on the buildings and snow throughout the area. That was not the case. Walt Disney World has just announced its second Limited Time Magic event. The event is called Winter Wonderland and will take place in the Canada pavilion at Epcot from January 14-20. It is said to offer “snow” and special meet and greets with characters. I would guess that it would be the same snow you would find on Main Street or Osborne Lights.
Set times are 10:30 a.m. – 2:10 p.m. and 3:05 p.m. – 5:45 p.m.
At Disneyland, the Bayou Bash is returning featuring Princess Tiana and Louis the Alligator from “The Princess and the Frog” for four weekends: January 18-21, January 25-27, February 1-3 and February 8-12, 2013.
