‘Ohana character meal staying open later

‘Ohana “Best Friends” breakfast with Stitch and Friends at Disney’s Polynesian Village is now remaining open one hour later each day.  It’s a great American/Polynesian breakfast meal featuring Stitch, Lilo, Mickey and Pluto.  It will now remain available for reservations until noon each day instead of the previous 11am closure daily.  New hours are 7:30am to Noon.  If you were looking for a reservation and found it difficult, try again and see if something is now open.  Later meals work well with Magic Kingdom touring plans and children generally aren’t picky eaters with breakfast foods, even in a lunch time frame. Pros and Cons of Disney World Character Meals

Disney World currently offers more than 20 character meal experiences that range from Princesses to the Fab 5 to some characters that you wouldn’t otherwise meet in the parks.  Booking some of the meals like Be Our Guest Dinner, Cinderella’s Royal Table and ‘Ohana Breakfast can prove to be a difficult task with reservations filling immediately 180 days in advance.  Should you choose a character meal or multiple character meals during your upcoming trip?  Here’s some things to consider:

If you have a little one obsessed with Princesses and/or Fancy Tea Parties, the My Disney Girls’ Perfectly Princess Tea Party is absolutely a must-do. Little girls will enjoy singing, dancing, live piano music, and lots of quality time with Princess Aurora all in the beautiful Garden View Tea Room at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort. And gifts! Did I mention gifts? Each child receives the following:

Princess Dining at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in Norway at Epcot including Belle’s Christmas dress

Well, it only took me a month to finally begin to catch up on some of the photos I took way back in December.  I still have several more Christmas resorts meets to post too.  Hey, it’s still really cold outside and many states including Alabama are receiving snow.  I thought I’d post the photos that I took at Akershus back last month.  Many character fans will enjoy the photos of Belle in her red Christmas dress and Ariel in her sea foam green dress.

Doc McStuffins and Sofia the First join Hollywood and Vine Play and Dine character meal at Hollywood Studios

We had the opportunity to be among the first families to meet Doc McStuffins at her new home at Hollywood and Vine today at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.  We made an 8:00am breakfast reservation in order to meet her today.  We had a great time meeting Doc McStuffins, Sofia the First, Handy Manny and Jake.  The entire experience took about one and a half hours.  We were waiting on Doc to make her way over to us.  The meal appeared MUCH more popular than it was when Secret Agent Oso and June met there.

I personally think this is a great mixture of characters.  There’s two male and two female characters and many little boys like Doc McStuffins.  The characters are willing to spend as much time with your family as you’d like to interact and Doc was uber popular, so don’t expect to run in, consume some egg dish and run out in 30 minutes.  I think one to one and a half hours is reasonable for this and any character rotation meal.

HANDY MANNY

We began with meeting Handy Manny.  Not a lot to say.  The guy loves tools, so he and I have a lot in common.  We’ve seen him a number of times in the past when he offered the in park meet and greet.  I need to get one of those pencils though.
