Wonderful news from EPCOT today! The expanded portion of the France Pavilion is now open! See the photos below and let us know what you think! Do you think the opening of Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is coming soon!?

France Expansion

We have been waiting for a really long time for the expansion of the France Pavilion at EPCOT. Our wait is just about over as the newly expanded area is now open!

Unfortunately, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure and La Crêperie de Paris are not open. There is still no word on their opening dates, but you can bet our writing crew will keep you updated when we have a timeline!

In the meantime, let’s check out these photos of the open area!

Just last week, the construction walls came down and large shrubs in wheeled pots took their place. Now, the shrubs are gone and we are ready to enter the expanded area!

Let’s start with the entrance. Upon entering the new expansion, an archway lets Guests know they are entering the world of Ratatouille! Of course, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure isn’t open yet, as mentioned above, but hopefully it will be soon!

Looking at the back the archway, we can finally see the landscape features of the expansion. Lampposts line the walkway and potted plants are placed under the windows and on columns. Benches and murals can also be found throughout the expanded area.

Disney Imagineers did a great job keeping with the architecture and design of the rest of the France Pavilion.

Crêpes à Emporter is the to-go portion of La Crêperie de Paris. Unfortunately, as you can see in the photo below, there is no menu posted yet. I cannot wait to eat some Crêpes!

You can see construction walls in the photo above that block the rest of the expansion. La Crêperie de Paris is peeking out at us behind the walls just begging us to enjoy authentic French cuisine!

I also spy the sign for Gusteau’s Restaurant! Gusteau’s is the restaurant that belongs to the most famous chef in all of Paris in the movie. It also serves as the backdrop for Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure!

One of the few areas in the expansion that is open is the restroom area! Breaking news: New Restrooms at EPCOT! Hehe.

The restrooms are right across from La Crêperie de Paris.

The Skyliner has been a great way to check out the progress made in the France Pavilion because the gondolas fly overhead! The past few trips I have made it a point to take a ride so I can check out how the expansion was coming along.

Finally, there is a small courtyard area for stroller parking. I love dedicated stroller parking! There is no wondering if your stroller will still be in the same spot when you come back for it!

Well, that concludes our little tour of the France Pavilion expansion! Thank you to a friend of the blog for the photos. I am so excited for the opening of the Ratatouille ride and the new experiences coming to the World Showcase!

What do you think of the France expansion? When do you think Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will open? Share your best guess with us on Facebook!
