Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway is Not Currently Offering FastPass+

For a stress-free Disney or Universal Studios vacation, let the FREE expert planners at Royal Carriage Vacations take care of every detail including dining reservations, applying discounts, and onboard cruise credit.

With less than 60 days to go before the attraction is set to open, guests are not seeing Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway in their FastPass+ options. It would seem that for the initial opening, which is set for March 4, the attraction will not offer FastPasses.

While the ride does not currently offer FastPass for guests booking at their 60 day mark, Disney has yet to indicate whether it will be standby only or have a boarding group process similar to Rise of the Resistance. Or, they may open FastPass+ reservations between now and opening.

It is also unclear what tier the attraction will be in if FastPass+ is offered.

We will update as more information is available.

What we do know about the ride is exciting stuff! Mickey and Minnie star in their first-ever attraction!

Mickey and Minnie are heading off to a picnic in their roadster. Guests get to follow along in a railroad car driven by Goofy! So, we are probably in for a pretty smooth ride, don’t you think?

The Disney parks blog also indicates that this ride will have more hidden mickeys than any attraction or area in the Disney Parks! I’m excited to hunt for them all.

We even got a behind-the-scenes look last month! Read all the details HERE and take a look at the video:

I still can’t believe Mickey and Minnie’s first attraction is debuting on March 4, 2020! I wonder how long it will take for Donald Duck to get an attraction if it took Mickey over 50 years?

Disney Parks Blog also released a poster for the attraction a few days ago. They explained that the Chinese Theater is a portal to a magical world. On your way to this magical world where “mouse rules apply” you will encounter a variety of posters celebrating the award-winning Mickey Mouse shorts like the one below:

Disney calls the ride an amazing cartoon universe, which I feel is a missed opportunity to make a new word: cartooniverse. The ride will also be heading to Disneyland park in 2022!

I’m excited to try this ride and I can already tell it will be a family favorite. What about you, are you looking forward to this new addition to Hollywood Studios? Let us know in the comments! You can also share your thoughts in our KtP Crew facebook group!

I think they need to either do a boarding pass as well as offer the DAS system because what age suppose to do if you’re disabled? They should return times no matter what for disabled guests! I understand that if there’s a boarding pass then there’s no need for the DAS card but if there’s no boarding system, they need to have something in place for disabled people.

We will see what the future holds for Mickey and Minnie. As it stands, the boarding pass process is adding an undue burden on disabled guests. I made my feelings known in my other post, for some of us getting to the park super early and wading through huge crowds isn't feasible. Hopefully they will offer fastpass for Mickey Minnie but we will just have to wait and see
