If you have ever been on a Disney Cruise Line cruise, you know it is a magical experience with the best, family-friendly entertainment, delectable meals and whimsical character meets. But how does Disney compare to other cruise lines?

Disney Cruise Line was recognized as the #1 Top Large Cruise Line in the world by Conde Nast Traveler. Readers rated Disney Cruise Line #1 out of over 400 ships across multiple cruise line companies.  Conde Nast Traveler  Reader’s Choice award is one of the greatest recognitions of excellence in the travel industry.

Disney blends cruising with a touch of magic like nobody can. Almost all of the Caribbean cruises involve a stop at Disney Cruise Line’s award winning private island Castaway Cay. Disney Cruise Line also has seasonal sailings to Alaska and Europe. The Disney Wonder will be starting a new itinerary in 2020 departing from New Orleans.

Disney Cruise Line #1 for Eighth Consecutive Year

Disney Cruise Line President, Jeff Vahle, said

Being recognized once again by the readers of Conde Nast Traveler is a source of great pride for our team, whether they make their magic on our ships, at our private island Castaway Cay or behind the scenes. This award speaks to their commitment to always going above and beyond – and making every guest’s experience truly special.

Disney is making guests experiences even greater in the next few years by adding to their fleet. Three new ships are joining the fleet, with one of the three ships coming each year starting in 2021! The Disney Wish will be the fifth ship to join the fleet.

KtP Note:  Disney cruises may seem expensive to the first time cruiser or someone used to cruising on a cheaper line.  However, the first class service is worth every penny on a Disney Cruise.  Also, you get the beautiful Castaway Cay on Caribbean Cruises and Pirate night!

I'd LOVE to take a Disney Cruise! We've lived in FL for just under 20 yrs & I still can't talk my husband into going... on ANY cruise. Hopefully I can find a friend to go with me one of these days.

I totally agree that Disney is more expensive initially but so much is included vs. cheaper cruise lines that seem to "nickel & dime" you at every turn! We only sail Disney knowing we will have a top-notch cruise. We can't wait to see the new ships!!!

I agree! I felt the service was amazing on the Disney cruise we did. I also enjoyed the feeling of not being nickeled and dimed for everything, really made a difference. I will never forget my husband really enjoyed the soup at one restaurant and the server brought him the same soup the next night when he mentioned how much he liked it!
