Disney After Hours added for Winter 2018

Disney After Hours added for Winter 2018

For a stress-free Disney or Universal Studios vacation, let the FREE expert planners at Royal Carriage Vacations take care of every detail including dining reservations, applying discounts, and onboard cruise credit.

The hard ticket event at the Magic Kingdom known as “Disney After Hours” has been extended for Winter 2018 dates.  Here’s the details:

The cost of Disney After Hours will increase from $119 to $125 per person for ages 3 and up.  Disney Vacation Club members and Annual Passholders do receive a discount.

With this offering, you may enter the park as early as 7pm.  This is NOT to be confused with Extra Magic Hours, which are a free on-site hotel perk.  While Disney After Hours has an additional cost, the benefit is that there is no wait for rides for the duration of the event.

The dates:

  • 12/3: 10 p.m. – 1 a.m.
  • 12/10: 10 p.m. – 1 a.m.
  • 1/7: 8 p.m. – 11 p.m.
  • 1/17: 8 p.m. – 11 p.m.
  • 1/24: 8 p.m. – 11 p.m.
  • 1/28: 8 p.m. – 11 p.m.
  • 2/7: 8 p.m. – 11 p.m.
  • 2/14: 9 p.m. – 12 a.m.
  • 2/28: 8 p.m. – 11 p.m.
  • 3/7: 9 p.m. – 12 a.m.

I’ve added these dates to the appropriate Crowd Calendars.

Any idea if the dates will extend into march and April? We are going to be there the week of March 25.

Hi Kenny, Will the rides be the same as the ones listed on your post from last year? The My Disney website just lists a few and then says "and much more" Thanks!

Are these the dates for winter 2019 or last year’s dates? Headline says winter 2018. Curious because I went last year and am waiting for new dates to go again. It is so worth the extra money.

Hi Kenny, I was planning on an all-day ticket at MK on Jan 24. It is me, my husband, and 8 yr old. This opens up a new option. I could change plans and do something like disney springs during the day, then go to MK around 6:30 for a night full of rides. Or, I could stick with MK all day. It will be wintertime - I've been to Disney in January before and there were really no issues with crowds at all. So is this ticketed event worth it then? It would be a lot of money for just three hours, and if the weather is super cold or rainy, then it's probably a no-go and we've lost that money. With all day MK we would at least have some extra time in the case of bad weather. I'm torn. Thoughts? Thanks!
