Disney World Minnie Van Service expands to Polynesian Resort

Skyliner and Minnie Vans Will Run Early to Accommodate Hollywood Studios Arrivals

Disney World continues to add service locations to it’s Minnie Van service.  Polynesian Resort was recently added as a point of registration into the system.  Here’s the details on how to use the service.

Guests staying at one of the following resorts are now able to visit the front desk at their resort to activate the Minnie Van service through the Lyft app:

  • Animal Kingdom Lodge
  • Boardwalk Resort
  • Grand Floridian
  • Polynesian
  • Wilderness Lodge
  • Yacht and Beach Club

The cost to use a Minnie Van is $20 per one way trip.  The vans are equipped with 2 car seats and they do offer vans for disabled guests as well.  Once activated at the front desk, you can summon a Minnie Van from any location on Walt Disney Woirld property.  You request your van from your smartphone and pay within the app.

Through a collaboration with the US’ fastest growing rideshare service, Lyft, guests at these resorts can arrange their own private Disney vehicle right from the Lyft app on their smartphone. With Minnie Van service, Disney cast members will then whisk you away to wherever you want to be at Walt Disney World Resort. This service accommodates up to six guests and provides two versatile car seats so even the tiniest of passengers can travel in style!

Minnie Van service will be available between 6:30 a.m. and 12:30 a.m. (subject to change). Guests staying at Disney’s BoardWalk Resort and Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resorts can learn more by visiting their Bell Services desk

When you reserve your ride, you can even know the estimated time of arrival for your pickup!

  1. What I failed to ask our drivers while at the World a couple of weeks ago was if you can take a Minnie Van from Disney Springs to Wyndham Bonnet Creek, or if it was just between resorts, parks and Disney Springs. If not, then Uber/Lyft will be our friend. This was a great service, though. We used it several times.

  2. So I am staying at Carrbiean Beach. I am eating at Ohana my first day.. can I take the Minnie van from there back to Caribbean Beach? And after that one trip, will I be able to take Minnie Vans whenever, even though I am not staying at a Deluxe Resort?

    • Once your in the system, you can hail a van from any location. Just have to start at a Deluxe resort like you’re doing for Polynesian. You’ll need to download Lyft app too.

  3. when you ask to activate it from one of the deluxe resorts, do they verify youre a registered guest at that resort? for example we are staying at Disney springs, and we are doing Minnie’s beach bash breakfast at the beach club. however we get to the beach club, can I go to the front desk and ask for it to be activated so I can use the system? or will they grill me about my room number, etc before doing so.

  4. Totally newbie with Lyft/Uber stuff… Staying at Poly, going to AK for the day with elderly mom on scooter – having dinner at Grand Floridian. Do you schedule a pick up time earlier or do you request the van then wait? I would need one scooter friendly so I’m thinking that would require more of a wait because there is probably less of them in service. Any advice?

    • Once you’re in the system, you can use it anywhere. You have to begin your first service at a Deluxe resort right now

  5. We got lucky this week, we were staying at CBR and had just finished dinner at the Grand Floridian. Even though they don’t service CBR the driver got permission to take us back to our hotel for the same $20.00 flat rate. He walked us through the Lyft app and was super helpful.
