2017 runDisney Wine and Dine Race Medals

The 2017 runDisney Wine and Dine Half Marathon Weekend (presented by MISFIT) is just around the corner, and today, Disney released pictures of the medal designs! They follow a “travel around the world” theme with medals designed to look like a luggage tag, plane ticket, and passport. One might wonder why this theme matches the food and wine race.  That is until you imagine the many countries around the world showcase that highlight food from their own culture. It’s like a culinary trip around the world! Here is a peek at the new designs to get you motivated for running to the end.

The Final race of the weekend will be the half marathon (13.1 mile). If you complete this race, you will receive a medal that looks like a plane ticket.

  1. I’m pretty disappointed in the half medal. I have nicer ones from local 5K races. Hopefully, the actual event is more exciting than the medals.

  2. I’ll take these, I think they are better than the Dark Side medals this year. It looked like a bunch of interns were in charge of all those designs.

  3. I like the medals. I’m doing the challenge and think the challenge medal is really cool. The half medal is very bland though, disappointed in that one.

  4. I think the medals are awful! I am running the challenge and hope the shirts are better than this. The look clunky and not anything that I would expect from disney. I guess I will stick with the princess and star wars weekends.
