KtP:  Am I reading this correctly?  You get a few rides, some ice cream and Princess Fairytale Hall?  Unless they ramp up this event and offer really rare characters, there’s going to be a lot of disgruntled guests.  Something like this used to cost $10-12 per person.  Guests could do 5 hours at a hard ticket party and at least get special entertainment and meet and greets for half the cost.  I’ll reserve final judgment for the final product, but this seems crazy to me.

I can see a value here. Let me break it down. 1 day MK ticket cost $117 with tax. This event cost $158. With the one day ticket you get 14 hours in the park. The event you get 7 hours. Lets say you wanted to ride the 7DMT the whole time. If the wait time, ride and walk time to get back in line is 1.5 hours (right) you could ride it around 9 times in the day. If you can ride it in 45 mins in the event you would ride it the same amount of time. So for people staying off-site and not getting fastpass res for the top rides it would pay not to stand in the hours long lines.

Though the princes could be there as well, because they said princess fairytale hall is open. And who knows maybe they will have appearances that they won't tell you about

Thoughts on how this will impact crowds?

Wow - No thanks Disney. Charging $149 for what boils down to extra magic hours with some free soda? Way to ruin the magic.

Hint to anyone considering this: Simply grab a room at a Value, or even a tenting space in Fort Wilderness for a night when EMH is offered and get it for free for your entire family. Oh, sodas and mickey icecreams aren't included, so bump the budget up by $20.

I wonder if this isn't a way for Disney to attempt to quantify the value of EMH so that the CAN try to justify a resort fee. "People are willing to pay $150 for the benefit you get for free, so pay us $15 a night for it now"...really not impressed unless this turns out to be a bit more than what's currently advertised.
