Agent P’s World Showcase Adventure in Epcot offering a new test

Agent P World Showcase Adventure in Epcot to offer new test

Agent P’s World Showcase Adventure will finally offer guests the ability to play test playing the interactive game via their own smart phone.  In the next few weeks, Cast Members will work with guests to test out this new adaptation.  Currently, guests have to check out a F.O.N.E (Field Operative Notification Equipment) device that are notorious for failing to work properly and battery drain issues.  This is only a TEST and isn’t guaranteed for all guests during this phase.

Keep an eye out for the new “Agent P’s World Showcase Adventure” app that park Guests will be able to download free of charge on their mobile device that will allow them to play the game in the park.

Guests will still need to visit a “Recruitment Center” located in various locations in Future World and the World Showcase in order to activate the downloaded app with a special code word provided to that user’s device.

Guests without a compatible mobile device, or wishing to not use their device, will still be able to play using the provided F.O.N.E.

Seems like a nice improvement that I posted a rumor about quite a while back.  What do you think?

Hi! Any update on this? (Agent P's World Showcase Adventure) Are people still using the FONE or can they use their own phone now? Is there an app yet? Thanks!

This seems cool. I think they might be expanding uses of smartphones to other interactive activities in the parks as well. I recently received a survey from them that they wanted my 9 year old son to participate in. They asked him a lot of questions about if he used a smartphone or iPad while on our last trip there and gave him options of different things he would like to be able to do in the parks via the devices, asking which he would like best and so on.
