Disney Parks officially released the list of celebrities that will appear for Star Wars Weeeknds 2015. There are two new celebrities that are sure to stir some interest!

Ian McDiarmid is famous among Star Wars fans for his portrayal of Senator and Emperor Palpatine series.  Ian will appear Weekend One.  Frank Oz is the other big celebrity to appear for the 2015 Weekends.  He is the performer for none other than Yoda himself!  He is scheduled to appear Weekend 5.  Other popular returning celebrities include Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca), Warwick Davis (Wicket), Jeremy Bullock (Boba Fett) and fan favorite Ray Park (Darth Maul).

Here are the celebrities scheduled to appear for Star Wars Weekends 2015 (entertainment is subject to change):

Weekend I (May 15 – 17)

  • Ian McDiarmid: Senator/Emperor Palpatine (Star Wars: The Phantom Menace; Star Wars: Attack of the Clones; Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, Star Wars: Return of the Jedi)
  • Amy Allen: Aayla Secura (Star Wars: Attack of the Clones, Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith)
  • Tiya Sircar: Sabine Wren (Star Wars Rebels)

Weekend II (May 22 – 24)

  • Warwick Davis: Wald, Wicket W. Warrick (Star Wars: The Phantom Menace; Star Wars: Return of the Jedi)
  • Silas Carson: Ki-Adi-Mundi, Nute Gunray (Star Wars: The Phantom Menace; Star Wars: Attack of the Clones;Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith)
  • Vanessa Marshall: Hera Syndulla (Star Wars Rebels)

Weekend III (May 29 – 31)

  • Warwick Davis: Wald, Wicket W. Warrick (Star Wars: The Phantom Menace; Star Wars: Return of the Jedi)
  • Daniel Logan: Boba Fett (Star Wars: Attack of the Clones)
  • Steve Blum: Zeb Orrelios (Star Wars Rebels)

Weekend IV (June 5 – 7)

  • Ray Park: Darth Maul (Star Wars: The Phantom Menace)
  • Jeremy Bulloch: Boba Fett (Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back; Star Wars: Return of the Jedi)
  • Ashley Eckstein: Ahsoka Tano (Star Wars: The Clone Wars; Star Wars Rebels)

Weekend V (June 12 – 14)

  • Frank Oz: Yoda (Star Wars: The Phantom Menace; Star Wars: Attack of the Clones; Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, Star Wars: Return of the Jedi; Star Wars Rebels)
  • Ray Park: Darth Maul (Star Wars: The Phantom Menace)
  • Peter Mayhew: Chewbacca (Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith; Star Wars: A New Hope; Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back; Star Wars: Return of the Jedi)
  • Taylor Gray: Ezra Bridger (Star Wars Rebels)

The always upbeat and talented James Arnold Taylor will return at the official host each weekend and Ashley Eckstein will appear each day for the Padawan Mind Challenge – Family Edition.”

Details are still coming together for the event, but some of the highlights of what’s new for Star Wars Weekends 2015 include:

  • Star Wars: Rebels” – Relive the adventurous twists and turns of the first exciting season of the Disney XDseries “Star Wars: Rebels,” in an all-new show with Star Wars Weekends host James Arnold Taylor and a special guest from the show’s voice cast … along with a few surprises!
  • Autograph Opportunities – For the first time, autograph sessions with Star Wars celebrities will be held in an indoor location, just off Commissary Lane near Star Tours – The Adventure Continues. For complete details about autograph opportunities, be sure to visit StarWarsWeekends.com prior to your visit.
  • Darth’s Mall – Can’t find the droids you’re looking for? Head over to this new complex of shops near Streets of America for the best selection of Star Wars merchandise in this galaxy or any other!

All this, plus dozens of Star Wars characters appearing throughout the park, yummy Star Wars-inspired treats and the spectacular fireworks finale, “Symphony in the Stars.” It just goes to show you that Star Wars Weekends is as close to the Force as you can get!

Additional Details on entertainment:  The major shows that take place during Star Wars Weekends will be hosted at the Theater of the Stars (Beauty and the Beast).  This will cause Beauty and the Beast to only be offered in the early morning and Star Wars shows in the afternoon.  The Fastpass+ option for shows should return.  The only downside for this venue is it is often closed during times of thunderstorms, so that could affect the entertainment during your date of visit.

  • Star Wars Rebels
    Listen closely as stars from Star Wars Rebels reveal the fascinating art of voice acting, as utilized throughout the Star Wars saga and beyond.
  • Stars of the Saga Star Wars Celebrity Talk Show 
    Kick back with your Star Wars Weekends host during a 30-minute, Star Wars-themed talk show that’s as entertaining as it is surprising. Enjoy an inside look at the fascinating lives and movie-making adventures with some of the stars from theStar Wars saga. Be sure to arrive on time—you just might see an Imperial Stormtrooper patrol on special assignment before the stars arrive!  (Frank Oz will NOT attend on his weekend)
  • Obi-Wan and Beyond starring James Arnold Taylor

we will be there on May 15th. We have a 4 yr. old and a 2 yr.old. Would you say it is worth it to go to the show at Theater of Stars or better to just wander around with them?

They would enjoy the Stormtroopers at the beginning of the Stars of the Saga, but might get bored with the actual shows
